About us

ICO is a non-profit ministry founded for the purpose of reaching international students studying in Tulsa with the Gospel. We do this by meeting the needs of international students through the love of Jesus. At the University of Tulsa, there are 800 international students from 69 countries. Many of the students have never heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and would never be in the position to consider Christ in their home country. We have an opportunity to reach around the world by engaging students while they are in Tulsa. In 2019 we also established a ministry to serve international students at the University of Oklahoma - Tulsa campus.

​These international students are the future leaders and business men and women of their respective countries, and will return home to influence their generation. We have been serving international students through the love of Jesus for the past 26 years, and our passion to reach more students has never been stronger.

Your opportunity

This is where you come in. We are looking for passionate followers of Jesus who want to give God two semesters to serve the nations at the University of Tulsa . ICO sponsors an on campus ministry called International Student Ministries. Essentially, on campus, ICO is known as ISM. During these two semesters you will receive training in international ministry, as well as a treasure trove of experience in engaging young people from all around the world. The internship begins August 9th, 2021 and concludes May 8th, 2022.

Full time internship

6​Our internship is full time (30-40 hours a week), and is funded through your personal fundraising. We will assist in your fundraising efforts through providing guidance and ICO promo materials. 70% of your funds need to be raised by the starting date of August 9th, 2021, and 100% needs to be raised by January 31st, 2022.

The total amount you need to raise will be based on each intern’s individual needs. You will assess it together with your internship supervisor, but he or she will give final approval.
